my current artworks

‘______’- fill - is series of works creating sculptures and an assemblages of found and manufactured materials onto canvas. Each work is depicting aspects of the environment, such as the skies, ground, water ways, pavements and other man-made structures. I use ink, watercolour paints and other drawings mediums that evoke patches of colour that are seen in my surrounding environments. I then have been poking hundreds of holes and filling them with collected natural and synthetic materials that closely match these blended colours. Most of the materials are less then 2cm long. The combination of natural and synthetic materials reflect real aspects of the environment however these works move into an abstracted and imaginary spaces. This is what I find really interesting and will continue to explore this concept.
